My Alpine adventure has begun. Yesterday began at 3.40am but the early start allowed for an extra day's riding. Sandy King from GPM10 met Sam and I at Geneva airport to take us to Annecy. We built our bikes and went out for a 70km spin in the sunshine.
We paused after an hour to fill out bottles at a fountain, at the top of a small col.
Riding back to the lake the scenery was breathtaking, but it has left me a little tired (or should that be warmed-up)? for the riding today.
Wish me luck: the day ends at the top of Alp d'Huez.
