As soon as I could point my toes

I can't remember a time before I stated dancing.

For over a decade I was taught by the fabulously named Sybil Stewart at the Elvet Ballet School.  She was a passionate and dedicated teacher. I enjoyed the hard work and repetitive training. I adored the music, the studio and was enchanted by the older girls several grades above me.

There are pieces of music which still make my neck prickle; my pointe shoes live in tissue paper and to this day, cast a spell over me.

There were endless hours of disciplined practice.  Blisters, black toenails and aching legs didn't deter me.

A good start.
