The bikefit at Cyclefit worked.
"So far in, it's embarrassing", said the official who checked my bike.
The fast girls warmed up inside. I had a brolly so didn't need to.
I retained my sense of humour in the face of the elements. As did the officials.
And I managed not to be sick at the finish.
The marshals were incredible. They deserve a medal.
Sarah Storey rode like an angel.
Emma Trott kept her U23 crown.
All is well.
